Green Belt on Jl Pangeran Wijaya Kusuma Damaged

Local residents are complaining the existence of vegetable traders alongside Jalan Pangeran Wijaya Kusuma, RW 14, Pejagalan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. Besides causing slum, its existence also damages a green belt.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's data, the damage to the green belt has reached 500 meters. Many plants and grasses are died due to merchandise heaps. Usually, the trader operates from 10 PM until 8 AM.

Susanto (54), a citizen of RW, Pejagalan admitted they have damaged and dirtied the green belt.

"The place was previously beautiful and full of tree. But now it damaged and arid because many plants are died," he complained, Thursday (6/2).

He asks North Jakarta administration to immediately control the traders soon as an effort to make citizen and road user comfortable.

Meanwhile, Head of North Jakarta Satpol PP, Choiruddin admitted has repeatedly controlled such traders. But they return again. Hence, we ask North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept to install a fence at the site.

"We will control them again in the near future," he finished.
